What Education Will My Child Receive?

We use different methods to teach through fun

Your children’s day at Sure Steps is planned and structured to ensure

that every child is offered high quality, enriching and worthwhile

experiences every day.

Our guests that are up to 3 years old follow the “Birth to Three

Matters Framework” to form their daily activity planning in support

of their learning. The activities are planned to include the four

aspects of a child’s learning, which are:

*Strong Child

*Competent Learner

*Skilful Communicator

*Healthy Child

Our pre-school children will be taught using a thematic approach through

structured activities. They will follow a Foundation Stage Curriculum

that encompasses:

· Communication Language and Literacy

· Mathematical Development

· Knowledge and Understanding of the World

· Physical Development

· Creative Development

· Personal, Social and Emotional Development

Topics are planned to last for around a fortnight but can sometimes

last up to a whole month if it is thought that further learning

opportunities or experiences are there to be gained.

In all of our areas of development, your child’s development will be

recorded and shared with you on a daily basis through a daily diary

record which will be available for you to take home. In addition you

will be invited to attend regular meetings with your child’s key carer

as well as our regular newsletters.

We are SENCO approved and can provide individual educational plans
