Learning Through Play

We want to instill a sense of fun in everything we do and put a lot of
emphasis on learning through play. In addition to the extensive
internal facilities and equipment, we have quiet areas where your
child can rest when the playing gets too much for them!
We have a range of equipment that is divided into different areas
within the nursery. As well as a home play area, we have
a reading area, construction area, sand and water area and a painting
and arts area in each of the different age group rooms.

We use the garden all year round and when it is cold and wet we put
everyone in our all in one fleece lined waterproof suits. This ensures
that they can enjoy the outdoors in the warmth without fear of getting
wet or worrying about getting their clothes dirty.

We don't just celebrate - we join in!

We celebrate a range of cultural festivals and seasonal events
throughout the year. Here we see the children (and staff!) celebrating
Halloween.

We are keen that the children utilise the extensive garden area. Here
we have a play house and all weather area for buggy’s and bikes. In
addition there is a large sand pit and lawn area. At the rear of the
garden is a safety matted area that has climbing frames and other
activities to enjoy.

We also have a greenhouse project for those budding little green
fingers where we encourage learning of plants and fruits.

We even encourage the children to grow some to take home for you
to sample!

When we have quiet time or if your children want some time to
chill out we have a peaceful sensory room which is full of soft furninshings
in a relaxing environment.

Amongst the facilities is an ICT area with computers for the children
to learn on with a wide range of software and connection to the internet.
